I spent Friday and Saturday tucked up in the Aotea Centre enjoying some presentations from a great range of speakers.

Marian Bantjes creates beautiful marks, glyphs, patterns and poems. Her warm and engaging style made me smile.

David Pidgeon believes in letting photography speak for itself. The book is a beautiful object and is also a vehicle for portraying other beautiful objects.

Joel Gethin Lewis makes his own tools. And his work reflects an innovative approach to high-tech - the technology no longer exists, but the beauty remains.

Karsetn Schmidt learned to program in hex and is proud to call himself a geek. He also makes his own tools and uses simulation to generate art.
